Aerospace is one of the fastest growing industries in the Southern California economy. In the San Gabriel Valley, this industry’s growth is centered on the manufacturing of parts and materials that support the aerospace industry. This includes aerospace products and parts manufacturing; resin, rubber and artificial fibers manufacturing; and electrical equipment and components manufacturing. Many existing aerospace component fabricators continue to have contracts with companies such as Boeing, Northrup Grumman and NASA.

The Jet Propulsion Lab, NASA’s leading center for robotic exploration of the solar system, is located in the San Gabriel Valley.  Under the management of the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), JPL produces the iconic robotic explorers that soar into every corner of the solar system as well as study the climate and atmosphere of our own planet.
