For Municipal Services

City of Osage is dedicated to providing municipal services to residents in Osage. We are governed by the Mayor and City Council. Our staff includes Public Works Director, Public Works Superintendent, Water Superintendent, Wastewater Superintendent, City Clerk, Deputy City Clerk, Park & Recreation Director, Librarian, Police Chief, Fire Chief, Cemetery Sexton .

Public Works Department oversees the water treatment, wastewater treatment, street maintenance, snow removal, infrastructure maintenance, tree removal, storm clean-up, fall leaf pick-up.

City Clerk's Office is information center and handles calls relating to questions about city services, citizens concerns or complaints, geneology searches. This office prepares items for City Council meetings twice each month. The Council consists of six elected members who serve staggered four-year terms.

Park and Recreation Department maintains all City parks, offers summer youth baseball, fall and spring soccer, maintains trails and camping area. Seasonal employment is available for mowing the cemetery and parks. The Park & Recreation Department is governed by a three-member elected board and meets once a month to conduct official business.

Police Department is staffed by 5 fulltime officers including police chief, one office administrator and two parttime or reserve officers. Animal control services are under the Police Department jurisdiction, as well as the usual services.

Volunteer Fire Department consists of 30 firefighters. A newly constructed public safety center houses both the fire department and police department as well as extra room for emergency services.

The Osage Public Library is served by a full-time librarian with a staff of regular parttime employees as well as students working after school hours.
