CareerLink Academies

Career Technical Education 
 

We are the Placentia Yorba Linda Unified School District.  The Career Technical Education and Regional Occupation Programs in the six middle schools and four high schools provide our students with a wide range of careers to look into and learn about.

The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District is proud of our existing career pathways and CTE prioritization, which are evident at each of the district’s four comprehensive high schools, and prouder still that these pathways begin in the third grade with the support and student exposure that is provided by our elementary schools running the STEMLINK labs, the middle schools through the ExpeditionLINK program, and culminating in the high school CareerLink Academies. Through our endeavors, our students are given the opportunity to see the real-world relevance and applicability of their curriculum, gain new industry-specific skills, liaise with professionals in their area of interest, engage in internships and job training in their fields, and in many cases earn credits and certifications that facilitate their transition into the workforce and/or collegiate programs of study.
