The San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership is "Your connection to the leadership and resources of the Valley". A non-profit corporation representing both public and private sectors, the Partnership is the exclusive source for San Gabriel Valley-specific information, expertise, consulting, products, services, and events. It is the single organization in the Valley with the mission to sustain and build the regional economy for the mutual benefit of all thirty-one (31) cities, chambers of commerce, academic institutions, businesses and residents.

1991: SGVEP was incorporated as the San Gabriel Valley Commerce and Cities Consortium

Three city managers from Alhambra, Monrovia and West Covina recognized the need for a regional entity for the purpose of advocating, marketing, and expanding the economic base of the San Gabriel Valley. These city managers and several private sector business leaders came together to create the San Gabriel Valley Commerce and Cities Consortium to leverage the power of the region and to promote the valley.
