TEXAS COUNTRY PROPERTIES
Texas Country Properties has been operating in Fulshear since 1976. In those early days, realtors Jo Douglass and Frances Smart began building a reputation for specialization in homes and lots on acreage, farms, ranches and commercial properties, and have added subdivision property to their list of offerings. Before retiring from her real estate career in 2016, Frances Smart served as a former city councilman and Fulshear mayor. As a special honor, Frances has a pocket park named after her at the northern edge of Fulshear near FM 359.
Jo Douglass, who currently heads Texas Country Properties as the sole partner, is one of Fulshear's most loyal fans. She is the widow of former municipal judge Doug Douglass and is known for her service to the Fulshear Planning & Zoning effort, Fulshear-Simonton Heritage Society and Economic Development B Corporation. Jo has also been an active supporter of Arts Fulshear, a community-based 501c3 that provides art and cultural events, art education, and public art. A longtime board member of the Bike for Mike, she is proud to serve this annual bike ride benefit honoring prominent Fulshear doctor, Dr. Mike McCann who lost the battle with cancer. Bike for Mike funds have helped upgrade historic cemeteries, underwrite tree planting initiatives, purchase signage and support children in many ways.
