VISION
The Leander Chamber of Commerce will excel as the premier business leadership organization and catalyst for change, growth and prosperity in Leander.
MISSION
The Leander Chamber of Commerce is a visible, proactive advocate and resource for its member employers and the Leander region. It is committed to advancing our region’s economic vitality and quality of life through the provision of strong leadership and through the formation of dynamic organizational and community partnerships.

Objectives of the Chamber
Promote Member Businesses:
Develop and maintain a strong web presence
Offer ample networking opportunities
Provide business education
Foster Economic Growth & Attract Tourism:
Continue formal and informal relationships with city officials and executives
Expand and continue bringing opportunities to showcase the community of Leander
Bring funds into the city via tourism and event activities
Focus on business retention
Workforce Development:
Partner with and support Leander ISD
Provide educational seminars
Cultivate Community Leaders:
Continue to lead Leadership Leander
Ambassador Program
Provide committee opportunities to members to get more involved
2021 Goals
Promote Member Businesses
Continue and grow social media programs for our members (min of 2 per month)
Go Live sessions- Host 10 sessions
Offer business classes through Score partnership and other educators- Host 10 classes
Visit member businesses through the Out of the Blue Committee- 5 Businesses per month
Provide a comprehensive resource guide for members-Living Leander Magazine
Encourage Economic Growth & Attract Tourism
Host and grow Old Town Street Festival and Old Town Christmas Festival
Host events that draw people to Leander to stay in our hotel – Happy Hours
Work with developers to support TOD growth and development
Conduct annual meeting with the City of Leander officials to promote and grow tourism efforts
Support Old Town Park Project & Swing Project
Continue to expand the Leander Trail of Trains
Foster Membership Engagement
The Chamber will continue Micro Groups 3.0 to further meet the needs of our members in a more intimate setting.
Evaluate membership levels and review all membership benefits
Establish Committee
Create and Distribute Survey
Make a final recommendation to the Board
Add 10 new committee members to any committee in 2021
Interview 10 non-members
Cultivate Community Leaders
Host 10, 2021 Leadership Leander participants
Add 5 new committee members to any committee in 2021
Drive Workforce Development
Promote and market at least two opportunities to engage chamber members and educational institutions in efforts to fill gaps in current and future skills shortages and grow a quality workforce in our region.
Adapt Living Leander Expo to be more career and job oriented.
Evaluate/Discuss 501C3 foundation goal.
Provide Training Development class opportunity to membership. Goal to measure 4x per year.
Ensure Financial Stewardship
The Chamber shall undertake final due diligence on its ability to successfully support and operate an event center, incubator, or lease space with final decision by end of 2021.
The Chamber shall evaluate and recommend sound investment practices to ensure a strong financial future for the chamber.
The Chamber shall evaluate and hire an outside firm to conduct the 2021 Review.
