Payson Area Chamber of Commerce was established in 1941 by the city of Payson with the primary motive of promoting the unification of the Payson business community. The Chamber encouraged residents to shop locally to support its members. In 2007, the Chamber became a separate not-for-profit organization after separating from the city. However, they still work closely together for the betterment of the area businesses and residents. The Payson Area Chamber of Commerce merged with the Santaquin Area Chamber of Commerce in 2015, forming the Payson & Santaquin Area Chamber of Commerce. This merger brought more local businesses together and created a larger community for the Chamber to serve. The Chamber serves not only Payson and Santaquin but also surrounding areas such as Genola, Goshen, and Elk Ridge. Currently, the Payson & Santaquin Area Chamber of Commerce serves over 1400 businesses in the growing community, prioritizing the promotion and support of local businesses.
