What is GP Kids?

GP Kids is a childrens ministry uniquely designed with your child in mind! In our GP Kids gatherings, we teach children in 1st through 5th grade big truths that they can grow into rather than light explanations that they can grow out of about Jesus, God, and the Bible.

Who attends GP Kids?

All children in 1st through 5th grade attend GP Kids each Sunday! We have created an area that is SAFE, FUN, JESUS-CENTERED, and PARENT-EQUIPPING at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM!

In our Green Room, 1st 5th graders gather together for worship with our GP Kids Music team, participate in small learning groups, and experience whole group Biblical teaching.

WHAT WE OFFER EACH WEEK:

SAFETY:

It is vital that both parents and students feel safe when they enter into any GP Kids Environment. Every single adult volunteer is screened through an interview, a federally run background check, and ongoing training. All adults and kids are required to wear masks and maintain social distancing.

FUN:

The Bible tells us in Matthew 19:14 that Jesus told his disciples not to inhibit children from coming to him for to such belongs the kingdom of Heaven. In Mark 10:16 we read that Jesus carried children in his arms and blessed them. Jesus was also accused of being too joyful at times (Luke 7:34). Jesus had fun and in GP Kids, we have fun too!

JESUS-CENTERED:

Everything we do is centered on the person and work of Jesus just like the Bible! Each element of our GP Kids birth through 5th-grade gatherings intentionally points students to Jesus. It is our goal, that by the time a student leaves GP Kids, they know what it means to live for Jesus in every area of their life.

EQUIPPING TO PARENTS:

Since Scripture is clear that parents are given the privilege to rear their children toward a relationship with Jesus, GP Kids does not seek to replace the primary role of the parent in a childs life. We want to assist parents in that aim.

The Gospel Project curriculum we use focuses each environment from birth through 5th grade on the same Jesus-centered lesson. We provide take-home sheets to help parents continue the conversation at home.
