GP Students

WHAT WERE ALL ABOUT:

GP Students (6th 12th grade) exist to partner with parents in pointing the hearts of students to live as disciples of Jesus who live in community for the community. We seek to do this through creating ministries where students and parents can LEARN from Jesus, LIVE in Jesus, and LEAD others to Jesus.

Learn: At 608, students can connect with others their age in a fun environment, engage in worship through music, while hearing a challenging message geared toward them. Students at Grace Point are encouraged to serve on Sunday mornings, participate in Mission Vegas, and attend the 608 student gathering on Sunday evenings @ 5:30 pm.

Live: Student Groups are a great place where students can be known, cared for, and supported as they seek to live as disciples of Jesus in the community for the community. Our student ministry believes that life change happens best in relationships.

The best way for students to be mentored and get to know other students their age is through a Student Group. Our Student Groups meet during our 608 services on Sunday nights. Group discussions focus on key parts of faith and developing a conversation about what is taught in the 608 gatherings. All students are welcome to participate.

We also like to eat food, play games, and have fun and so we get together for special events such as summer camp, capture the flag, kickball, etc.

Lead: If we continue to treat students like participants they will continue to leave the church after high school and not return. If we allow them to lead they will become owners and will see how their giftedness benefits the body and brings joy to their lives. Students are not the future; they can lead now.
