This course is designed to provide the successful candidate with certification in CPR/AED and Basic First Aid through the American Health and Safety Institute. It is intended for people with little or no medical training who need CPR/AED and First Aid certification for their job or regulatory agency (DCS, DES, Foster Care Licensing Agency). Course content includes Adult/Child/Infant CPR and AED (hands-only and with breaths), Mild and Severe Airway Block: How to Help a Choking Adult/Child/Infant, Responding to an Emergency, Soft Tissue & Burn Injuries, Muscle and Bone Injuries, Sudden Illness, Poisoning, Bites and Stings, and Environmental Emergencies. This course is not intended for Licensed Healthcare Providers or students entering a licensed healthcare field. Licensed Healthcare Providers should take a Basic Life Support Course.
