The Center for Prevention of Abuse has a variety of ways in which you, your family, and your group can volunteer. If you share our commitment to helping all people live free from violence and abuse and are looking for a volunteer opportunity where you truly make a difference, we would love to hear from you. We are grateful for the commitment of our volunteers and their willingness to devote their time and energy to helping our staff and clients. CFPA has two types of volunteers: direct service and indirect service. Direct volunteers work directly with clients one-on-one and in groups; indirect volunteers include other tasks such as cleaning, organization, sorting, moving donated goods, clerical or administrative work, lawn and gardening care, painting, and additional behind-the-scenes assistance.

CFPA is the only agency in the entire state-sanctioned to provide its combined services of Domestic Violence, Sexual Abuse/Assault, Human Trafficking, Adult Protective Services, and Prevention Education under one roof. CFPA operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, and all victim services are free and confidential. A pioneer in providing services to victims of violence, the Center for Prevention of Abuse has grown from a single rape crisis hotline that started in 1975 to a highly respected statewide leader in working to end abuse and break the cycle of generational violence.
