Preventive Health

Patient Care and Procedural Skills

Our program grants the opportunity to observe and learn various procedures in Ambulatory Surgery, Sports Medicine, and Womens Health.

Systems-Based Practice

With multiple clinics under our umbrella, our preceptors are able to appreciate high-quality, cost-effective medical care in the context of locally prevailing healthcare systems and resources.

There is also participation in our clinic's quality improvement projects that aim to increase patient engagement, close preventive care gaps, and improve patient outcomes.

Practice-Based Learning and Improvement

Learning is achieved not only through didactics but also through the intensive study of the latest available scientific evidence.

Interpersonal and Communication Skills

Preceptees are trained in different approaches in communication that allow them to work effectively as a member of a health care team, and create a therapeutic relationship with patients and their families.

Professionalism

Our preceptees are able to interact with a highly diverse population, consisting of patients of varying educational, economic, and cultural backgrounds, and are trained to treat each individual with dignity and respect.
