At Lisa's Bake Shop, family plays an integral role in our operations. Lisa's daughter, Gina Damm, and her niece, Kendra Roslansky, are among the dedicated team members who bring their expertise and love for baking to every creation. With occasional assistance from the next generation, including Lisa's grandson and nieces and nephews, our business embodies a true sense of familial camaraderie and dedication.
Lisa's journey into the world of baking began in her hometown of Sioux Valley, MN, where her passion for culinary arts first took root. In 2006, she made the decision to relocate to Spirit Lake, Iowa, while working at Okoboji Wine and Lobster Company. When circumstances led to the closure of OWLC, Lisa saw it as an opportunity to pursue her dreams more fervently.
Taking matters into her own hands, Lisa built a kitchen in her home and obtained certification to produce and bake goods for sale at the local Farmer’s Market. What initially started as Lisa's Lil' Bake Shop at the market soon blossomed into the thriving establishment known as Lisa's Bake Shop, located on Highway 71 in Spirit Lake, where we've proudly served our community since January 2014.
