Kaleidoschool is a collaborative charter school emphasizing equity through balanced academics, arts and science, grounded in nature. We will work as a team in the community to foster well-being for present and future generations.

We focus on: Community It takes a village. Kaleidoschool will be participating in the community, and we will be looking for many partners to work with us. Not only will this help the children who are growing up here, but it will also help the families who support them.

We have seen the lack of family participation and this is one path we believe we can take to increase equity because some families need more help . And, we will be using equity when we give back to the community - Expect to see us volunteering just like this weekend at The Barrel District Experience!

Nature Evidence shows that many, many children are experiencing a NATURE DEFICIT. Simply by not being out in nature, children are missing opportunities to use all five senses.

Arts and Science - It is now commonly known that the brain double dips. When creating - whether fine arts, singing, dancing or drama, the mind is not just concentrating on the task at hand.

Well-Being It happens to all of us once in a while we are really stressed, a bit hectic, tired, overly caffeinated, or just downright cranky.

In addition to the other lenses that can help, we will be putting into practice methods that we have used with success Restorative Justice, relationship building programs, mindfulness, and yoga. Additionally, we will have therapeutic and counseling staff on hand not as an afterthought, but as part of our team. If you didn't get to eat breakfast because theres no food in your house, here equity will mean that the school feeds you breakfast so you can nourish your brain after you nourish your body.
