MCS provides vocational assessment services public social services and welfare-to-work clients to assist them in determining which education, training, and career path to pursue in their quest to obtain employment and attain economic self-sufficiency. Assessment Centers are established throughout Los Angeles County to ensure accessibility to MCS professional, licensed vocational counseling and assessment services, and are located in the Cities of Alhambra, Carson, Glendale, Los Angeles, and Pasadena.
MCS programs are funded by the Department of Labor, Social Security Administration, Employment Development Department, Department of Public Social Services and City and County of Los Angeles WDB.
