Provide services and resources that enhance the quality of life for those who live, learn, work and play in our city.

The City of Henderson operates under a Council-Manager form of government. Under this structure, the elected Mayor and City Council are responsible for all policy decisions affecting the city. The implementation of Council policies and the general administration of city operations are the responsibility of a professional city manager.

The City Manager is the chief administrative officer of the City, appointed by and directly responsible to the Mayor and Council.

The City Manager directs and supervises the administration of all departments, offices, and agencies of the City; develops programs and policy alternatives for consideration by the City Council; and, represents the City in negotiations with other governmental representatives. The Public Information and Intergovernmental Relations functions reside within the City Manager's Office.
