At 801 Main Street, Margaretville, NY in the historic Galli-Curci Theatre, Kria has opened its first store featuring a huge curated selection of Kria designs from a decades-worth of collections and some one-of-kind pieces surrounded by sustainable creativity that inspires them. Icelandic designer Jhanna Methsalemsdttir was born and raised in Reykjavk before emigrating alone to New York City as a teenager at the end of the 1980s. That era of the city and its cultural dynamism, nightlife, art and fashion since have informed her unique aesthetic and that of Kria from its inception. Now, the inspiration manifests itself fully in the new RESIDENT ALIEN collection.
