Commerce Court is all about work. A consumer choosing this service area can access paid production work on-site or pursue community-based employment, or participate in auxiliary vocationally related classes. A person participating in this service area demonstrates a motivation to work, has an awareness of work, demonstrates work skills, and is able to work a minimum of three hours per day.
Commerce Court DTH Services, is for individuals who are not quite ready to work three hours or more. Consumers interested in this program will be motivated to work, have an awareness of work, demonstrate work skills, and be able to work a minimum of 45 minutes to two hours without constant staff support. Ratios will vary depending on the work being done and the level of supervision necessary to meet the quality requirements of the work. A person participating in this program area is offered paid work, auxiliary skill training, and some community recreational opportunities. Individuals who have less stamina and need more assistance to be successful at work can look into the work program at the Parkway service location.
