B.L.E.S.S.E.D. MINISTRIES, INC. (BMI) is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit human services organization, structured to connect economically disadvantaged workers to mainstream employment opportunities within high-demand industries. Our primary objective is to ensure the economic playing field is leveraged for returning citizens, substance abusers, TANF and SNAP recipients; as well as at-risk youths, by providing access to comprehensive, relevant job skills training leading to immediate job opportunities and long-term career opportunities.
Founded in 1999, BMI began providing businesses interested in employing individuals with barriers to employment with qualified personnel from the New York Tri-City area. Today, BMI has expanded into New Jersey and has been successful in placing more than 600 formerly incarcerated and hard-to-place citizens into competitive employment situations. As a result of our demonstrated performance, and dedication to the communities we serve, we have been able to engage other community-based organizations, as well as city and state agencies developing a comprehensive, and diverse network of partners.
