A very successful mine development, mine operations, and permitting professional with experience in developing and operating challenging the U.S. and international mining projects in complex community and political environments. Recent accomplishments have developed a proven record of managing mine operations, leading projects through startup, leading the development of three new mines and two major mine expansions through feasibility, environmental review, development, and construction, each project reaching production in a timely and efficient manner. I have a passion for the mining industry, development of challenging projects, and operating mines, and have enjoyed being a member of the mining industry for over 30 years.
In my recently formed consulting business I recently updated a mine reclamation plan and cost estimate for an international mining and milling operation.
As the AGM Mine Manager, I was responsible for a 40,000 ton per day mining operation, technical services, and mobile maintenance. Mining operations include multiple pits mining saprolite and fresh rock to feed a 6,500 ton per day mill. Mobile maintenance maintains mining equipment, logistics fleet, power generation, and ancillary support equipment.
In my previous role as the Project Manager, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to lead the high-performing Ajax team through basic engineering and the preparation of an EA Application/EIS for the Project. Additionally, negotiated agreements with the First Nations Bands to advance a large-scale copper/gold project in British Columbia, Canada.
As the Director of Environmental Permitting and Country Manager of Mine Development Corp., my primary role was to lead the development of the world-class King King Project located in Pantukan, Philippines. I led the permitting effort and managed multiple aspects of the projects feasibility study and very successful community and public relations programs.
