Welcome To

Being in Abundance, Michelle Petrowski, Certified Financial Planner

Wealth is more than money. It involves the physical, emotional, spiritual and relational areas of our lives. They are inextricably interrelated as I learned in my divorce.

When my grandfather died at 62 my grandmother didn’t know how to write a check. My parents divorced when they were 55 and they had not money saved for retirement. I was fortunate to have a grandfather that sat me down at age 13 to teach me the fundamentals about money. These experiences left me wanting to give back in a way that could create positive change for real families. This desire grew and led me to leave my 20-year career in technology; going back to school mid-life and obtaining my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation in 2010.

There is no greater joy for me in my work and life, than to know that I made a difference in the lives of others. I want you to have choices. Your peace of mind & financial well-being are my goals & commitment to you. My philosophy around life and wealth starts with a core belief that we can grow and thrive in any circumstance. That "our present circumstances don't determine where we can go; they merely determine where we start”- Nido Qubein.

We just have to take that first step, so call to schedule a Q&A Call

As women, we have unique challenges, and as we are more and more becoming the equal or primary breadwinners in our homes, our challenges are growing. And these are not necessarily solved by living with a partner in a committed relationship rather than marrying, or remaining single. We make less and save less than men, and often care for others ahead of ourselves and that needs to change. Financial self-care is an act of self-love and allows us to better take care of those we are committed.

Being a fiduciary that provides “fee-only’ financial planning and investment management services to individuals, families, and businesses is an important distinction to me. As it allows me to be unbiased in my advice and recommendations as no commissions are ever received.

As part of my commitment to financial education and advice I’ve worked with the AZ National Guard around financial literacy, volunteer with both Fresh Start Women’s Foundation in AZ and Savvy Ladies in NY since 2013, serve on the Board of Directors for Alisa’s Angels Foundation and Maricopa Association of Family Mediators and served on the Financial Planning Association Board of Directors in NY & AZ.
