Welcome To

Art City Frame Co.

We started with a small retail store, and added manufacturing the following year. We have been building frames together since 2000.

We offer custom framing, fine art printing, and other specialty services.

We carry many of the major brands of moulding like Larson-Juhl and Roma, but our strength is in our own solid wood moulding produced in house, which we can design just for you.

We are not your everyday frame shop. We design and manufacture our own line of handmade frames. Our frames are handmade. We start with raw lumber, which we rip to size, then mill the profile and rabbet into each length. After the milling process, each frame is chopped, joined and hand sanded to help achieve a perfect finish. The finishing alone (paint or stain) is a six-step process. The end result is a frame that is one of a kind with a beautiful, hand rubbed finish.

We use poplar and knotty alder, both are very stable and won’t shrink or split over time.

Whether you are looking for simple, museum quality, or archival projects, we do it all. We have the ability to be quite eclectic, and work "outside the box" for a one-of-a-kind, unique piece.
