About Golden Oak Wealth Management
Tom Ellis has been an investment advisor since 2003, beginning at a boutique firm in Pasadena. In early 2008 that firm merged with UBS and Tom Ellis decided to strike out on his own, building the investment consulting firm now known as Golden Oak Wealth Management. Despite a difficult environment for investors and advisors in 2008, Tom’s consistent risk-based focus and individualized investor attention have led to a successful & growing consulting practice.
Tom’s penchant for challenging the conventional wisdom of the professional investment community by examining their underlying assumptions and showing how they can negatively affect investors has garnered a growing newsletter following and insightful back and forth.
Tom and his wife Christine have 5 children, and he is actively engaged in his local community, serving as President of the Board of St. Augustine Academy, a Board of Regents of Thomas Aquinas College, & Board Member of the Ventura County Lincoln Club.
