About S.D. Ellenbecker, Inc.
S.D. Ellenbecker, Inc.
S.D. Ellenbecker, Inc. is a construction company based in Athens, Wisconsin that was founded in 1968 by Sylvester "Skip" Ellenbecker under the name of Ellenbecker Construction. The company initially started with just 2 employees who focused on laying block and brick around the local area.
Within a year, Ellenbecker Construction began to expand, growing to 15 employees and taking on larger projects that included concrete work. As the company continued to flourish, it incorporated in 1972 and changed its name to S.D. Ellenbecker, Inc. During this time, the company also remodeled its small office and shop located at the intersection of Hwy 29 and Hwy 97.
In 1998, due to highway reconstruction, S.D. Ellenbecker, Inc. was forced to relocate but remained committed to Athens by becoming the first company to break ground in the new industrial park.
Today, S.D. Ellenbecker, Inc. has grown significantly and employs between 45-50 full-time workers annually. Dean Ellenbecker currently serves as the President of the company following the passing of his father Sylvester "Skip" in 2013.
Throughout its history, S.D. Ellenbecker, Inc. has maintained a strong focus on delivering high-quality workmanship while prioritizing customer satisfaction. As Skip always emphasized, "Having good crews of hard workers who take pride in their work and respect for the customer comes back in the form of repeat business."
With over five decades of experience and a commitment to excellence, S.D. Ellenbecker, Inc. continues to be a trusted leader in construction services within Wisconsin and beyond.
