Children's Services Council of Leon County

About Children's Services Council of Leon County

The Children’s Services Council of Leon County (CSC Leon) is a dedicated advocate and funding partner for initiatives that improve the lives of children and families in our community. Established by the voters of Leon County in 2020 as an independent special district, CSC Leon serves as a catalyst for transformative change by investing in programs and services that help children and youth thrive socially, emotionally, and physically. Through ad valorem tax funding, CSC Leon supports organizations that align with its mission to ensure that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

At the heart of CSC Leon’s work is a commitment to equity, collaboration, innovation, and data-driven decision-making. Guided by a results-based accountability framework, the Council focuses on measurable outcomes in areas critical to child well-being. These include kindergarten readiness, academic success, juvenile crime prevention, mental and physical health, reduction of adverse childhood experiences, youth workforce development, housing and food stability, and family strengthening. By supporting community organizations both financially and technically, CSC Leon empowers a sustainable ecosystem of care that uplifts and protects the next generation.
