About Lively Technical College

Lively Technical College, founded in 1937 by Lewis M. Lively, has been a cornerstone of career and technical education in Tallahassee, Florida, for over eight decades. Established with a vision to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary for gainful employment, Lively has grown from a small vocational school with 52 students to a thriving institution serving thousands annually. With a faculty and staff of 85 professionals, the college proudly serves Leon, Gadsden, and Wakulla counties while welcoming students from across the nation and around the globe, fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.

Today, Lively Technical College operates from two main campuses and partners with local high schools for dual enrollment programs, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for students at every stage of life.
