Tallahassee Lenders' Consortium

Located at 224 Office Plaza Drive in Tallahassee, Florida, the Tallahassee Lenders’ Consortium (TLC) has been a trusted community resource since 1993. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, TLC is committed to creating opportunities for individuals and families to achieve affordable homeownership. Our mission is to improve lives by supporting access to safe, stable housing while helping to build vibrant, resident-driven neighborhoods throughout the city. We provide a variety of services, including financial counseling and assistance with closing costs and down payments, to guide first-time homebuyers through every step of the process.

TLC was founded through a collaboration between ten local financial institutions and the City of Tallahassee in response to the increasing cost of rental housing in the area. Recognizing the urgent need for sustainable housing solutions, these partners established a zero-interest loan program to assist with homebuying expenses. As an Instrumentality of Government, TLC manages the processing and packaging of these loans in partnership with the city and local lenders. Today, we remain dedicated to strengthening our communities through responsible lending and continued investment in affordable housing.
