About Saddleback Church

Saddleback Church began with a simple vision in 1980 when Pastor Rick and Kay Warren set out to create a church for people who didn’t feel at home in traditional settings. From that first Easter Sunday service, God has guided the church through incredible growth-expanding from one gathering in Southern California to multiple campuses across the globe. Over the years, Saddleback has witnessed countless lives transformed, baptizing more than 50,000 people and continuing to see God’s hand at work through every step of the journey.

Today, under the leadership of Pastor Andy Wood, Saddleback Church is committed to carrying forward its mission with renewed faith and purpose. As we look ahead, we believe God will do immeasurably more than we could ever imagine, and we remain dedicated to helping people find hope, healing, and a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
