About Fraternal Order of Eagles

Rooted in a legacy of service and unity since 1898, the Fraternal Order of Eagles is a distinguished international non-profit organization built upon the values of liberty, truth, justice, and equality. What began as a small gathering of theatre owners in Seattle has grown into a movement of nearly 800,000 members and over 1,500 locations across the United States and Canada. The F.O.E. has become synonymous with compassion and community engagement championing causes that improve lives and strengthen neighborhoods through fellowship and philanthropy.

With a proud tradition of giving back, the Eagles contribute more than $10 million annually to charitable initiatives, medical research, and local causes returning 100 percent of raised funds in the form of grants. The organization’s efforts have led to landmark achievements such as founding Mother’s Day, helping establish Social Security, and funding the $25 million Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center at the University of Iowa.
