About Copper Mule Distillery

Copper Mule is owned by Don and Jeanne Gosen and is located on the family farm which our family started farming in 1908. We take no shortcuts in ingredients or process in making the best Bourbon possible.

Don and Jeanne Gosen, proprietors of Copper Mule Distillery, honor Jeannes great grandfather Captain Gustav Wohlt who helped found the Hermann Distilling Company in 1893. The name, Copper Mule, honors the Kallmeyer family mules that have been grazing the property since 1910 and still do today.
