About Waypoint Charters

As The proud owner/operator of Waypoint Charters and a member of the local community, I am mostly about fishing. I enjoy a little barbecue, some fine bourbon, and an occasional duck hunt with my friendly Labrador and first mate Olive. After the Campfire of 2018, I chose to move to beautiful Lake Almanor to live out the last third of my life as a fishing guide. I'd always enjoyed the local area with its abundant deer population, relaxed friendly people, a beautiful lake abundant with fish. As a kid in my Volkswagon Baja bug, and then Chevy Luv, then Toyota pickup, I would regularly "bust" up the hill to Chester for an A&W cheeseburger. After a day of fishing, or a weekend at Last Chance campground, I'd almost always grab a Pine Shack frosty cone for the drive home. Youth offers the greatest of times.

My 23' Boulton Voyager is a boat like no other on these waters. And it's comfortable too! In addition to its solid welded cabin, comfortable bench seating custom built to be truly long enough to accommodate a nap here and there, it also comes with a flushable, permanently installed onboard toilet.
