About Lasting Details by Lauren

Hey, you all! I wanted to give everyone a peek into the life of the one behind the camera... I usually answer to Sis, babe, mama, or Flo and am married to my best friend, Blake. He is hands down, the most hard-working, honest, and loyal person I've ever met. We have three children- our handsome son Ashton, 16, our sassy baby girl, Peyton Jaymes (aka PJ) 4, and our youngest cooked Colton, 1.

So, I grew up in the booming city of Houston, TX but was always drawn to the country's way of life. The good Lord had a plan for me all along because he made sure I met the love of my life...a country boy from Weimar, TX. We live on a little slice of heaven in the country, work cattle and enjoy our four horses every chance we get. It's a simple life that I wouldn't trade for the world.

After being a wife and mom-tographer, I would have to say music takes my next hobby slot. I grew up very musically cultured (thanks to my daddy) and legit listen to everything from Texas Country to Rap, Tejano to Classic Country, and Oldies & Classic Rock. We enjoy taking the kiddos to the roping pen with daddy and checking cows on horseback. Those are the memories with my babes I will cherish forever. You can catch me sitting on our back porch on a breezy summer night with fresh ranch water in hand and my Pandora on shuffle.

I'm a huge bargain shopper and only brag about how cheap I found an item. Seriously, don't be surprised if you see me perusing thru Goodwill on a mission to find that perfect pair of vintage Wrangler or Levi jeans to distress into cut-offs. My mama taught me early on the value of a dollar and I can assure you, I make it go as far as it will!

I'm obsessed with turquoise, cowboys (my handsome hubby), and country music. I wouldn't say I like ketchup, being way out in the ocean, or bare feet. I put ranch on almost everything and have thousands of song lyrics memorized. Oh, and every song is 'my favorite song' LOL.

I love children and treat all my friend's kids as my own. Additionally, I'm a hugger; so don't be freaked out if I hug you instead of shaking your hand when we meet.
