The Wine & Cheese Place is a St. Louis story. We have been owned and operated by St. Louis families since 1982, and this is evident in everything we do. We know our community, and we pride ourselves in offering our customers wines, spirits, craft beers, cheeses, and other delicacies which we know they will love.

For 40 years, our stores have provided St. Louis with exceptional selection, service, and value. When we started in the early 1980s, we focused on house-roasted nuts and hand-cut cheeses (both traditions we continue today). Our wine and spirits selections were initially small but expertly curated. As we learned about our customers’ tastes, our wine and spirits offerings began to expand. Almost forty years later, we now have a selection of over 5,000 wines, 1,200 beers, 1,000 whiskeys, and 100 kinds of cheese, plus a great selection of specialty foods and gifts.

Far more important than our selection is our customer service. Our long-tenured management team has a combined experience of over a century in wine and spirits, which is why we have the most knowledgeable service in town. When you walk into our stores, you know you will receive help from some of the most knowledgeable and friendly experts around.

Wine & Cheese Place is also dedicated to providing value to our customers. Our prices are the most reasonable in town because we believe great wine and spirits need to be accessible to all of our friends and neighbors. As a beloved St. Louis establishment, we do not want to be the newest or hippest—we simply want our customers to feel that each time they come to our stores, they receive great value from our service and selection.
