Together with local individuals and esteemed partners, we engage, connect, and foster the exchange of ideas and experiences with elite international leaders at the forefront of their fields.

Since our establishment in 1984, Global Ties ABQ has been bringing the world to Albuquerque for over 35 years. Throughout this time, we have welcomed thousands of world leaders from nearly every nation, providing them with invaluable opportunities to interact with Albuquerque's vibrant people, diverse places, thriving businesses, and impactful organizations.

Originally founded as the Albuquerque Council for International Visitors, we operated as an ad-hoc volunteer group of citizen diplomats. In 2014, we joined the Global Ties U.S. national network, a significant milestone that expanded our horizons and partnerships while enabling us to hire a dedicated team of full-time staff members.

Today, we remain committed to our mission of contributing to world peace by fostering a global community in Albuquerque. Our team comprises bright, well-traveled, and often multilingual leaders who take great pride in welcoming visiting professionals from around the world. They connect our international guests with the rich tapestry of experiences, opportunities, and cultural treasures that Albuquerque and its incredible people have to offer.
