With a dedicated team of six full-time employees, our department operates at the forefront of urban development and regulatory compliance.

Located conveniently on the east side of City Hall at 39250 Pioneer Blvd, we serve as a central hub for all matters related to planning, building, business licensing, urban renewal grant programs, and municipal code enforcement.

The Planning Division spearheads the city's land use development initiatives and long-term planning endeavors. By fostering collaboration and community engagement, this division endeavors to shape Sandy into a livable, sustainable, aesthetically pleasing, and economically vibrant locale. Through the formulation and implementation of strategic plans, policies, and codes, we strive to realize a cohesive vision for the city's future.

Meanwhile, the Building Division oversees the structural, mechanical, and plumbing facets of construction projects within the city. Our seasoned building staff offer comprehensive consultation services, conduct thorough plan reviews, facilitate permit issuance, and perform meticulous inspection services. Additionally, the Building Division manages business licensing processes and oversees sign approvals, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a conducive environment for business growth and development.
