The St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center is an open-admission shelter dedicated to caring for and finding loving homes for animals in need. We accept authorized stray pets regardless of their adoptability and carefully assess owner-surrendered animals based on available resources. By law, stray dogs and cats are safely held for at least five business days or ten if they have identification before becoming available for adoption. Once cleared, every healthy and friendly pet has the chance to find a new forever home.
