Telephone Service

MiBroadband was created to provide broadband speeds to areas previously not served or underserved. These areas tend to be rural. The backbone for MiBroadband’s fixed wireless broadband service is MiEnergy Cooperative’s electric distribution communications network. As MiEnergy continues to build its private broadband network to communicate with its 43 substations and all residential and commercial electric meters, communications towers for MiBroadband will be added at the electric cooperative’s substations to expand broadband service.
