Meth is the shortened name for Methamphetamine which is also sometimes also called blue, crystal, tina, ice, crank or speed. Regardless of what it is called, meth is a highly addictive stimulant that has an effect on the central nervous system and increases the amount of the natural chemical dopamine in the brain. Because dopamine creates such a euphoric sensation, people will continue to use meth to try and repeat or maintain the effect.
