Medical Expenses for Work Injuries

If you are injured at work, your employer is required to pay your reasonable and necessary medical expenses. By law, that includes payment of medical expenses, nursing services, hospital visits, and medicines. You also wont be required to pay any co-pays or deductibles.

During treatment, your employer or insurance company has the right to direct your medical care. That means they can select the doctors and facilities for your treatment. However, you do have the right to request a change of doctor. If you choose to make such a request, use Labor Commission Form 102.
