Russia's fine on Google for "false information" amounts to 21 million rubles
21,000 million rubles (360 million dollars) would be the figure that the American company Google would have to pay to Russia "for not removing content" that denounced the offensive in Ukraine, as a Moscow court would have stipulated.
According to those reviewed by the Russian telecommunications control body, Roskomnadzor, and collected by the AFP news agency, YouTube, a video platform owned by Google, "did not block false information" about the Russian offensive in Ukraine. nor did it remove content that allegedly advocated extremism and terrorism” or that “incited minors to participate in unauthorized demonstrations.”
