Opportunities For Learning curriculum meets California state and Common Core standards and offers the University of California and California State University approved admission eligible classes.

While the majority of an OFL student’s class load is completed through independent study, OFL also offers and encourages students to participate in Small Group Instruction (SGI) classes for Math, English, and Science courses. SGI classes are similar to traditional classroom environments, but by maintaining a limited class size (5-10 students), each student receives the attention necessary to succeed. SGI students work individually and collaborate on assignments with fellow classmates.

In addition to independent and SGI coursework, students can enroll in online classes. These courses offer students an additional level of schedule flexibility and access to advanced and AP coursework. Online classes can take place anywhere students have access to the internet. All students are assessed both electronically and by written work and are required to maintain regular appointments with their teacher.
