Forehead Lift

The term browlift, or forehead lift, is used to describe procedures aimed at rejuvenation of the upper portion of the face. The forehead does not have significant fatty tissue between the skin and underlying muscles, and is therefore vulnerable to stigmata of aging. As we age, wrinkles develop that give the appearance of being too serious. Relaxation of the skin results in drooping eyebrows and possibly hooding over the upper eyelids, giving a tired appearance. Depending on the specific aging characteristics of the patient, different techniques may be employed to elevate the brow to a youthful or rested appearance, as well as smooth out wrinkles across the forehead and between the eyes.
