The United States has 2 billion cubic yards of Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) contained within tailings and/or waste storage facilities across the country, which is swaying public and political opinion.

NewFields has worked on over 50 CCR sites helping our clients design, remediate, manage construction and provide support in various types of litigation. As regulators debate the best course of action for dealing with CCR, NewFields is researching, as well as developing, new technologies to facilitate and decrease the cost of dewatering, remediating, and monitoring; while our public outreach experts help assist in communicating with stakeholders.
