Silver Stage Players calls Elko, Nevada home. Elko has often been called "a small town in splendid isolation." It was deemed the "Best Small Town in America" by an independent, national publication. The city of Elko is home to nearly 21,000 residents, while Elko County's population exceeds 52,000 people.
Elko rests at 5,060 feet above sea level, with the Ruby Mountains towering over 11,000 feet. The Elko area is 11.5 square miles, while the county consumes more than 17,135 square miles. The lowest average temperature throughout the area is 25 degrees F in the winter and its high average of 71 F in the summer.
