The Halvorsen Foundation celebrated Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Candy Bomber Style… with the children.
During the children’s activities event held at Library Park on Saturday, July 23rd, the Halvorsen Foundation set up a booth with a preview of the Halvorsen Heritage Center, flight simulators, and hands-on STEM activities.
The Halvorsen STEM bus parked at Tabitha’s Way to join the fun with advanced flight simulators and STEM activities. Civil Air Patrol cadets and students with Nebo School District’s Advanced Learning Center helped kids to operate the flight simulators and with the STEM activities.
Knighton Architecture displayed plans for the future Halvorsen Heritage Center to be built at Spanish Fork Airport and had a 3D printer building models of the center while participants watched. Adam Hale’s scale C-54 model dropped candy on kids in several candy drops throughout the day.
Like Gail himself, the day was full of fun, smiles, and learning together.
