Estate Planning

Estate planning is a process of anticipating and arranging for the management and disposal of an individual's estate during their life and after death. Estate planning typically attempts to eliminate uncertainties over the administration of a probate and maximize the value of the estate by reducing taxes and other expenses. It can also be used to ensure that assets are distributed in accordance with one’s wishes, provide security for loved ones, and plan for incapacity. Estate planning includes creating documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, living wills, guardianship designations, beneficiary designations on insurance policies or retirement accounts, etc. It also involves making arrangements for long-term care if needed.
