Artist in the Schools

Plumas Arts offers the Artist in the Schools program, in collaboration with the California Arts Council, to provide arts education to students in every K-6 classroom in Plumas County. The program is made possible through grants, matching funding from the Plumas County Office of Education and elementary school sites, as well as community donations. With a 36-year partnership with schools and artists, Plumas Arts aims to make quality arts education accessible to all students, helping them develop fine art techniques, creative expression, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking abilities. The program has a profound impact on students, broadening their perspectives and preparing them for various aspects of modern life.
