Welcome to the Fairfield District Schoolhouse, a remarkable educational institution constructed in 1898 through federal funding obtained after Utah's statehood in 1896. The school's design, skillfully crafted by architect Richard Watkins, who also lent his talent to iconic establishments such as Peteetneet Elementary School in Payson and Maeser Elementary in Provo, stands out with its distinctive two-color brick masonry. Although the school ceased operations in 1937 when students began commuting to Lehi, it has been meticulously restored to its former glory, offering school groups an immersive and authentic one-room schoolhouse experience. Today, the Fairfield Schoolhouse plays a vital role in programs at Camp Floyd and opens its doors for special events, providing an opportunity for visitors to witness a piece of history. Additionally, this historic building is available for rental, making it an ideal venue for meetings and gatherings.
