The Grieving Process

The Grieving Process

Every individual has a unique approach to coping with the loss of a loved one. While the grieving process varies for each of us, there are shared emotions that accompany our journey toward healing from this loss.

Our reactions to the diverse emotions experienced during the grieving process are often referred to as "stages." These stages aren't constrained by real-time constraints, and people don't necessarily transition in and out of them in a linear or predictable manner. The duration of these stages can span from minutes to hours. It's quite common to move through one stage and then into another, eventually circling back to the initial one. This cyclical pattern might repeat several times as you continue to navigate through your grief.
