Summer Reading Program

Our Summer Reading Program at Stewart County Public Library is dedicated to keeping elementary-aged children engaged and excited about reading throughout their summer break. We understand the importance of preventing the "summer slide," and our program is designed with this goal in mind.

For many families, the library serves as a vital community space during the summer months, offering free educational and cultural enrichment activities. Our program not only encourages a love for reading but also fosters positive attitudes toward books and the library itself.

By participating, children not only maintain their reading skills but also embark on a journey of discovery through a range of carefully curated activities and materials. Additionally, our program provides opportunities for children to develop essential cooperative skills, promoting teamwork and a sense of community.

At Stewart County Public Library, we're committed to nurturing young minds and ensuring that the joys of reading continue to flourish, even during the summer months. Join us in this enriching program and let's make every summer a season of growth and learning.
